The Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Adkins, MPT as the Director of the Physical Therapy Division. Amanda returned to Maryland in 2008 after an spending time in California where she gained extensive experience in the management and delivery of full-spectrum physical therapy services.

Internships at Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital, Calvert Physical Therapy, Sinai Sports Medicine Clinic, St. Joseph's Hospital.
Some of Amanda's past projects include specialized treatment of elite athletes (tri-athletes, skaters, ultimate fighters, motocross, snowboarders, surfers), and the development of women's health protocols for osteoporosis, post pregnancy low back pain, and incontinence. She was also instrumental in the creation and implementation of an aquatics therapy program.
The group offer physical therapy services to those patients who are in need of specialized PT care. Our dedicated PT programs are located on site in all locations and include:
- Concentrated hand rehabilitation by a certified hand therapist
- Full spectrum spine rehabilitation
- Arthritis / Osteoporosis program
- Total joint rehabilitation
- Advanced sports medicine therapy
- Certified manual therapy
Our therapists bring an exceptionally high level of expertise to our group, and provide the skill and care necessary for successful post-operative or injury recovery.
