The Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine is pleased to announce that Dr. Chad M. Patton has joined our Spine Team.

After completing pre-graduate studies at Vanderbilt University, Dr Patton continued his education at the University of Louisville where he was awarded his Medical Degree in 2005, after first receiving a Master of Science in Anatomical Sciences and Neurobiology. Dr. Patton completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Vermont and in July 2011 he completed a fellowship in Spine Surgery from the University of Utah.

Dr. Patton specializes in the operative and non-operative treatment of spine-related disorders, including degenerative conditions of the cervical and lumbar spine, and adult and pediatric scoliosis. Dr. Patton is trained in traditional, time-proven procedures as well as newer, minimally invasive techniques of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. He is also trained in the management of adult and pediatric fractures.

Dr. Patton is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, AO Spine North America, and the North American Spine Society. He has passed Part 1 of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery examinations and is board eligible for Part II in 2013.

Dr. Patton enjoys fly fishing and skiing. He resides in Severna Park with his wife and children.
