Lawrence P. Zyskowski, Ph.D., M.D. - Rheumatology

Dr. Zyskowski has been in private practice in the Annapolis area since September 1997. He began seeing patients at The Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center in 1999, specializing in the field of rheumatology. He has both a Ph.D. (Doctorate in Philosophy), and a medical degree, graduating from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1977. He then studied for 2 years at the Mayo clinic Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, MN, and was granted a Fellowship in rheumatology in 1982. This degree was then advanced with a further year at the University of Washington in Seattle and Dr. Zyskowski graduated with a Senior Fellowship in Rheumatology in 1983.

He is Board certified in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. He has extensive experience in both consultative practice and in practice administration. In addition to his medical degrees, Dr. Zyskowski also gained his MBA (Master of Business Administration) from the New Hampshire College, Graduate School of Business in New Hampshire in 1991. He held Directorships in clinics and hospitals in New Hampshire and New York before moving to Maryland and establishing his own practice in Annapolis in September 1997. His research and professional education are on-going.
